NEW DELHI: The Dinesh Karthik-led Tamil Nadu team defeated Baroda comfortably by 7 wickets to clinch their second Syed Mushtaq Ali title on Sunday. Completely dominating the opposition in the one-sided affair, Karthik and co. first restricted Baroda to a lowly 120/9 and then comfortably chased down the target with 12 balls to spare.
Winning the first domestic tournament in the COVID era was a special moment and the celebrations of the win too were different in the dressing room as the team, in a coordinated effort, was seen grooving to the tunes of the 'Vaathi Coming' song from the recently released South Indian blockbuster Master.
