Rajyik Natya Vidyalaya to be established at Kalakshetra
The Rajyik Natya Vidyalaya will be established at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, said Asom Natya Sanmilan (ANS) president Kumar Deepak Das.

GUWAHATI: The Rajyik Natya Vidyalaya will be established at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra, said Asom Natya Sanmilan (ANS) president Kumar Deepak Das while addressing the media here on Friday.
Das said that the foundation stone of the Rajyik Natya Vidyalaya will be laid by September this year. The government has allotted Rs 30 lakh to the ANS in the recent State Budget. Through this amount we will provide financial assistance to 42 artistes of the State for their healthcare, said Das.

GUWAHATI: Bringing in relief for the common people of the state of Assam, the state government has decided to provide free electricity in all households for the consumption of upto 30 units a month.

64 terrorists of 4 outfits surrender before Assam CM Sonowal

Guwahati, Dec 21 (IANS): In a significant development ahead of the next year s assembly polls, 64 militants belonging to four terrorist outfits on Monday formally laid down their arms before Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
The terrorists, led by banned United Liberation Front of Asom (Independent) self-styled Deputy Commander-in-Chief Drishti Rajkhowa, self-styled Lt Col. Montu Saikia, self-styled Lt Col. Sagar Topno formally surrendered in a ceremony at the famous Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati.
The 64 terrorists, including 18 ULFA (I), 32 United People s Revolutionary Front and 13 Dimasa National Liberation Army and one belomnging to the People s Democratic Front of Bodoland deposited 14 AK series rifles, one M-20 semi-automatic rifle, 15 pistols, two 9-mm Carbine many other improvised guns and a large quantities of ammunition.
