Morning sickness shouldn’t be called morning sickness – but rather, all-day-everyday-nightmare sickness. It’s not a minor pregnancy affliction that makes you feel “a bit nauseous in the morning”, like the name suggests. It can be experienced at any time of day and at multiple times, too.
Take it from someone who spent three months living off breadsticks and mashed potato – and who is now fully acquainted with the bathroom floor.

My friend James Medhurst, who has died aged 45 of Covid-19, was an employment lawyer and an eloquent campaigner for the rights of disabled people. His personal experience illustrated both the obstacles that autistic people face but also the valuable contribution they can make.
James was born in Reading to Brian Medhurst, a maths teacher, and his wife, Cathy (nee Plytas), an accountant. Academically gifted as a child, at St Bartholomew’s school, Newbury, in Berkshire, he won a place at Cambridge University to study mathematics, beginning in 1993.

The federal treasurer’s plan to permanently water down laws supposed to ensure companies keep shareholders properly informed could scare off investment needed to recover from the coronavirus recession, investors say.
The Australian Council of Superannuation Investors, which represents 39 large local and international pension funds, on Wednesday dismissed Josh Frydenberg’s claim the law needed to be weakened to combat class action litigation.
Frydenberg’s bill would make it easier for directors of companies to avoid legal liability for misleading the market by requiring proof that they acted with “knowledge, recklessness or negligence” when they did so.

Watchstone To Pay Slater & Gordon s Costs In PwC Suit
Law360, London (February 1, 2021, 2:52 PM GMT) Watchstone Group PLC has accepted it is liable to pay Slater & Gordon s legal costs after PricewaterhouseCoopers dragged the law firm into fresh litigation over its soured deal to buy a subsidiary from the insurance technology provider.
The terms of Slater and Gordon s £11 million ($15 million) settlement with Watchstone over an ill-fated acquisition indemnify the law firm against new claims made by PwC LLP, the company said in a Jan. 25 High Court filing, which has been made public.
The law firm was roped into a £63 million lawsuit filed by the technology provider against PwC after the accounting firm filed a part 20 claim,.
