By Advertiser Reporter A TROWBRIDGE drug dealer faces a lengthy spell behind bars – despite only being 18. Teen Ibrahim Chafik was arrested by police in the Wiltshire town last month with a Kinder Egg containing 34 wraps of class A drugs. Appearing before Swindon Crown Court on Friday via video link from HMP Bullingdon, Chafik, of Cheviot Close, Trowbridge, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis and damaging a police telephone. He denied possession of £172 cash that prosecutors alleged was the proceeds of drug dealing. Chloe Griggs, for the Crown Prosecution Service, confirmed that the pleas were acceptable.

File image of drugs Picture: PA A LONDON woman will stand trial in the summer on allegations she was dealing drugs in Swindon. Chante Wright, 25, of Barnes Avenue, Southall, has been charged by prosecutors with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Swindon between June 2018 and March 2019. At a hearing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday, Judge Jason Taylor QC set the matter down for trial. The case was listed for a three or four day trial from July 27. Wright was not present at court as her attendance was excused. The judge told her barrister, Ignatius Fessal, she would need to attend via video link on March 22 to enter her pleas. “If she doesn’t dial in via CVP [the court video system] that is the equivalent of not attending court,” he added.
