In November 2017, Parliament passed a law that would raise the minimum smoking age from 18 to 21 over three years.  Advertisement Advertisement The minimum age to buy, use, possess, sell or supply tobacco products went from 18 to 19 years old in 2019, and from 19 to 20 in 2020 as part of the Government’s plans to reduce smoking.
