Gargiulo Campus in Secaucus. The campus is located at 1 High Tech Way, next to Laurel Hill Park. This will be the second job fair since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic., following November’s successful event that drew over 300.

Hudson Reporter Celebrate Earth Day with Hudson County Lincoln Park The Hudson County Improvement Authority, in partnership with Hudson County, will host two Earth Day celebrations in North Bergen and Jersey City. The events keep the HCIA’s 30-year tradition of observing Earth Day and will comply with social distancing regulations. The first event will be held April 17 at Braddock Park in North Bergen near the 90th Street and Bergenline Avenue entrance. The second event will be held on April 24 in Lincoln Park near the Westside Avenue entrance. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the state of New Jersey, Hudson County will pause administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine out of an abundance of caution. Currently, the CDC and FDA are reviewing data involving six reported U.S. cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot in individuals after receiving the J&J vaccine.

The Hudson County Vaccine Distribution Center in Kearny will be open for an additional day this week due to the increased supply of vaccines. More than 4,000 vaccines will be administered at the county-run site through the end of this week which will also vaccinate residents on Thursday, April 8. All eligible residents are encouraged to visit hudsoncovidvax.org to begin the registration process to get a vaccine appointment at the drive-through facility at 110 Hackensack avenue. This week, Hudson County received its largest allocations of vaccines to date with more than 20,000 doses being directed to the county and its municipal partners by state and federal officials.

Vaccinating underserved communities in Jersey City

× Vaccination efforts will expand in Jersey City, according to Mayor Steven Fulop as the FEMA- backed community vaccine distribution program is scheduled to operate out of local places of worship starting next week. A new program will begin on March 8 to vaccinate Jersey City residents through places of worship in the Bergen/ Lafayette and Heights neighborhoods. According to the county, it will help launch the new community vaccine distribution program backed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through a partnership with Governor Phil Murphy and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. The program is set to provide 3,000 first and second doses targeted at under-served communities in Jersey City.
