Hudson Reporter Arson task force investigates fatal Jersey City fire Jose Gil / Shutterstock.com The Hudson County Regional Arson Task Force and the Jersey City Fire Department are investigating a two-alarm fire that killed an 84-year-old woman Thursday morning, Feb. 18. According to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office, on Thursday, Feb.18,  just after 10:45 a.m., the Jersey City Fire Department responded to a working fire at 270 Clerk Street in Jersey City. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a two-alarm fire with heavy fire and smoke conditions that was confined to the second floor of the residence. Firefighters gained access and found a woman unresponsive in her bedroom.
