Party Leads to COVID Outbreak in Dutchess County

The Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health is currently investigating multiple confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Town of Red Hook that are believed to be related to a party at a private residence.
There are currently 8 confirmed cases, including children and adults, officials say. The cases have impacted the Red Hook Central School District summer school program as well as the Red Hook Recreation Summer Camp and Pool programs, with health officials working with each organization for contact tracing, quarantines and other precautionary mitigation efforts, according to the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health.

In May, ShopRite of North Poughkeepsie hinted at an opening and suggested interested people follow the supermarket s official Facebook page as they prepare to open.
ShopRite of North Poughkeepsie will be a full-service, state-of-the-art supermarket located at Hudson Heritage, at the site of a former state psychiatric facility on Route 9 across from Marist College. Construction is ongoing at the site.
On May 24, ShopRite of North Poughkeepsie announced they can t wait to open. While an official opening date was announced, officials said the supermarket will open very soon.
Eight weeks have passed and the supermarket still has not opened. The name of the supermarket s official Facebook has changed to ShopRite of Poughkeepsie-Fairview.

Danielle Cifuni was trying to beat the heat when she noticed a deer jump into her Rockland County pool. Apparently, the very determined baby deer slammed into the fence around the pool several times before breaking the fence.
After breaking the fence around the pool the deer fell into Cifuni s pool in New City.
Instinct kicked in. Cifuni noticed the deer drowning in her pool and she went under the water to try and save it.
She was able to wrap her arms around the baby deer and remove it from the pool as her two dogs watched, according to Lauren Marie Wohl.

On Monday, Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced an Orange County Grand Jury handed up an indictment charging 22-year-old Ariana Sanchez of Newburgh with crimes including attempted murder.
The charges were in connection with a stabbing of a woman in the City of Newburgh last month. It is alleged that on June 19, at approximately 1:45 PM, Sanchez repeatedly stabbed another woman multiple times, including in the chest, back and leg near Lake Street in the City of Newburgh.
Police are looking into reports that the stabbing was over a man. Anyone with information concerning the incident is urged to contact the City of Newburgh Police Department.
