AES Future Energy scholarships, with a total value of over $25,000, will be awarded to 20 students from three Hanoi universities.
AES Mong Duong, a subsidiary of AES Vietnam, announced Friday the AES Future Energy Scholarship program for the new academic year from 2020 to 2021. The program is implemented in cooperation with the Center for Education Development (CED) to support talented students at three universities, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Electric Power University (EPU), and Vietnam National University - University of Science (VNU-HUS).
Each student selected will not only receive financial support but also benefit from soft skills training, career information exchanges, volunteer activities and site visits to Mong Duong 2 BOT Power Plant in Quang Ninh Province.

After switching schools multiple times - including a university in Singapore, Pham Viet Dung is working to realize his vision of contributing to Vietnam’s education renovation by setting up a STEM workshop and a Youtube channel to help local students put what they have learned at school to daily life.
Dung caused quite a stir a few years ago when he opted to return home and train to become a teacher after giving up his studies at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University.
