HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Plans are underway to move Huntsville City Schools central office, and the City of Huntsville is helping.
The city is in the process of buying land on North Memorial Parkway and then they plan to give a portion of it to the school system.
According to city leaders this project will be the first mixed use development in north Huntsville, something they hope will help revitalize that part of the city from a dilapidated plaza to the new central office for the Huntsville City School District.

Some former students of the Huntsville City School District are now worried their State Student Identification Number (S.S.I.N.), emails and social security numbers may be in the hands of cyber thieves because of they cyber attack the district faced.
Both Jessica Smith and Michael Hughes graduated from Grissom High School in 2015. So, they aren t too worried about their S.S.I.N. possibly being compromised, but they are worried their social security number could be compromised.
