Three Staff Tested Positive for COVID-19 at Sempervirens Psychiatric Hospital

Posted By Iridian Casarez on Tue, Dec 15, 2020 at 4:17 PM click to enlarge The Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services has confirmed that three staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at Sempervirens 24-Hour Psychiatric Hospital, a 16-bed in-patient facility in Eureka. According to the release, one staff member and a close contact tested positive for the virus on Sunday while the third tested positive during routine testing on Tuesday. The release also states that staff members and patients were tested for the virus. Another round of testing will be done this week. The facility has designated an isolation unit in a separate part of the building should any of the patients test positive for the virus.
