New Delhi, Dec 15 : Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, who is currently battling the Covid-19 infection, was on Tuesday admitted to Gurugram s Medanta Hospital in a critical condition, officials said.
The minister is getting treatment under Dr Sushila Kataria, senior director of Internal Medicine Department at Medanta, sources told IANS, adding that the minister is suffering from lung infection.
However, there was no official response from the hospital.
Vij was admitted to Medanta in the evening from the Haryana government s Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) in Rohtak where he was admitted on Saturday and had received convalescent plasma therapy. The institute had stated that Vij had moderate Covid-19 with bilateral viral pneumon

PGIMS hospital in Rohtak, where Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has been admitted has issued a statement on the minister s health. Vij s vital parameters are normal and he is undergoing convalescent plasma therapy, the Monday statement read. Vij, who is also the state s home minister, was shifted from Civil Hospital at Ambala to PGIMS on Saturday night after he complained of discomfort. The minister had last month got one shot of the two-dose trial of the COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin after he offered to be a volunteer. He had tested positive for COVID-19 on December 5.

The vital parameters of COVID-19 positive Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij are normal and he is undergoing convalescent plasma therapy, a medical bulletin issued by the PGIMS hospital in Rohtak said on Monday. Vij was examined on Monday by a special medical board comprising a team of senior doctors of the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), constituted by the institute s director Rohtas Yadav.

Health Minister Anil Vij was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram from the PGIMS here on Tuesday evening after no improvement in his health was recorded here.
Vij is Covid positive and was admitted to the PGIMS on Sunday night following a lung infection. Initially, he underwent treatment at Civil Hospital in Ambala Cantt.
Vij was given plasma therapy yesterday and his vital parameters were told as normal in the health bulletin issued by the PGIMS authorities late on Monday evening. A team of the PGIMS, including doctor, nurse and other officials, has also left for Gurugram with the minister.
