Officials reported Sunday they still have 250 openings for appointments this Thursday and Friday. All appointment slots Monday through Wednesday are full. You can make an appointment by going to adamscountytogether.com or calling 217-600-4VAX (4829).   A couple of area health departments updated their COVID numbers Sunday. The Hancock County Health Department reported 16 new lab confirmed cases of coronavirus Friday through Sunday. The Hancock County case total is now 1,492, with 198 isolated, seven hospitalized and 29 deaths.

The Brown County COVID total is now 569, with 133 active, one hospitalized and six deaths. Pike County reported 27 new coronavirus cases, bringing their case total to 1,504, with 81 active, 12 hospitalized and 39 deaths. The Hancock County Health Department reported nine new lab confirmed coronavirus cases Monday. Their case total is now 1,454, with 195 isolated and 28 deaths.   There were 113 new confirmed cases and two additional COVID related deaths reported in northeast Missouri Monday.

Then at 9:15 am, Gerald Edgars of the Hancock County Veterans Affairs Department will ask for an allocation for his budget.

Memorial Hospital Foundation receives donation

Cynthia Stewart, Marketing Director CARTHAGE – Sunday, January 10, 2021 – Memorial Hospital Foundation recently was named the recipient of the American’s Farmer Grow Communities donation from Bayer Fund. This donation was made on behalf of Hancock County farm land owner, Leora Wilson. Mrs. Wilson’s nomination card was selected for Hancock County. She then selected Memorial Hospital Foundation Caring Back Club to receive the funds. Memorial Hospital Foundation Caring Back Club started in March of 2020 in order to support those in need as a result of COVID-19. Funds were secured and delivered through the Community Foundation Serving West Central Illinois and Northeast Missouri.
