Ellsworth Police Log Week of April 22 Police assist incapacitated citizens ELLSWORTH A traffic stop on April 14 ended with one teenager summoned and her passenger taken to Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital. Office McKay McLean was conducting the traffic stop when he was told that a passenger was in the midst of a drug overdose. McLean escorted the car to the hospital, where the person was treated. He also summoned 18-year-old Beaudie Jipson of Seal Cove on charges of illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor and operating a vehicle without a license. Police also were called to the China Hill parking lot on April 14 for a report of a heavily intoxicated man sitting in his car. He was taken home by taxi.

29-Year-Old Woman Accidentally Shot at Home by Boyfriend A 29-year-old Maine woman is recovering in the hospital after being accidentally shot at her home by her boyfriend. The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said it happened Thursday in the town of Mariaville, just east of Bangor. WVII reports a 30-year-old man was cleaning his gun when it accidentally went off, striking the woman. She was taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center with what police called non-life-threatening injuries. Get our free mobile app No charges have been filed.
