Two high school students in Hamilton County, Indiana, died in a car crash while they were on the way to prom on Saturday evening.
Kalen Hart and Lendon Byram were en route to the Hamilton Heights High School prom at the Elite Banquet Center in Kokomo with two others when their vehicle crashed into an SUV.
Their deaths were announced in a Facebook post by Derek Arrowood, the superintendent of the Hamilton Heights School Corporation. Arrowood said all scheduled prom activities have now been canceled.

ARCADIA, Ind. – A car crash killed Indianapolis-area high school students who were on their way to prom, authorities said.
The two-vehicle crash, which also injured two other students, happened around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. One vehicle, a Honda Accord, had four teens in it. They were on their way to Hamilton Heights High School s prom in Kokomo when their vehicle collided with an SUV. Both vehicles ended up in a field.
The two deceased victims were identified as Lendon Byram, who was driving and Kalen Hart, who was sitting in the front seat.

Two high school students died in a car crash on their way to the prom, Hamilton County sheriff’s spokesperson Ryan McClain said.
The crash happened around 5:15 p.m. in Arcadia, about 40 miles north of Indianapolis. When officers arrived, both students were found deceased.
The Hamilton Heights School Corporation identified them as Hamilton Heights High School senior Kalen Hart and her prom date, Lendon Byram.
Byram was a student at Cathedral High School, the Indianapolis private school said.
