Health Department Announces Extended Hours At The Tennessee Riverpark Vaccination Site No Appointment Necessary Beginning On Tuesday Friday, April 30, 2021 The Hamilton County Health Department expands COVID-19 vaccination hours at the Tennessee Riverpark from 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on weekends beginning Tuesday. No appointment is necessary and anyone 16 years of age and older is invited to participate. White County Circuit Judge T. Scott Webb has again ruled Illinois’ FOID card is unconstitutional, setting the stage for the state Supreme Court to again examine the matter. In 2017, Vivian Brown was charged with violating the FOID card law by owning a rifle without a card; White County sided with her then, but, after an appeal to the Supreme Court, it opted not to make a decision last year. The USDA has released Illinois county estimates for the 2020 hay harvest. Wayne County was estimated to have harvested 5,550 acres of non-alfalfa hay totaling 9,900 tons. Yield per acre was 1.8 tons. Edwards County harvested 2,300 acres for 5,700 tons, an average of 2.5 tons per acre. White County had 1,570 acres harvested for 3,030 tons. Statewide, Illinois farmers harvested 270,000 acres of non-alfalfa hay for 621,000 tons. Average statewide yield per acre was 2.3 tons.

A Latina educator and a Black health care professional who both say they are dedicated to increasing diversity and equity in the community will vie for the Fishers City Council seat vacated by Democratic Councilor Samantha DeLong, who resigned and is moving out of state.  Hamilton County Democratic Party precinct officials will elect DeLong’s replacement for the North Central District seat during a vote at 3 p.m. Sunday. Crystal Neumann is assistant provost for the American College of Education and has a doctorate in business administration. Neumann was inducted into the Indiana Latino Leadership Circle in 2020 and was an honoree of Reverend Jesse L. Hamilton Co. Health Dept. Implements New Hotline to Combat Vaccine No-Shows NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) The Hamilton County Health Department has created a new hotline aimed at decreasing the amount of no-shows for COVID-19 vaccinations. The health department has noticed a “sharp increase” in the amount of people not showing up for their scheduled vaccination appointments. “We’re averaging as many as 50 no-shows a day,” said Christian Walker in a press release sent to News 8 on Thursday. “Unfortunately, that puts us in a bad position as we don’t want to risk losing a dose because we opened a vial and don’t have an arm to put it in.”
