Sheriff: Man arrested after officer-involved shooting in Lockland facing attempted murder charge Quinlan Bentley, Cincinnati Enquirer
A man was arrested following a confrontation with Lockland police on Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office.
Officials said Dale Allen Smith III, 22, pointed a gun at a Lockland police officer, who then fired their duty weapon in response, according to a release.
The incident occurred at 300 Wyoming Ave., officials said, adding that Smith had attempted to fire shots at the officer.
Smith was not injured by the gunfire and fled the scene with help from another person and ultimately crashed a vehicle at 7901 Reading Road, officials said.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at 300 Wyoming Ave., according to a release from the sheriff s office, Lockland Police and Cincinnati Police. No one was struck during the shooting, police said.

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A scam has robbed several innocent elderly Hamilton County residents of tens of thousands of dollars - and more are at risk of becoming victims, sheriff’s investigators announced Tuesday.
“This scam involves an individual calling an elderly resident claiming to be a family member in trouble,” the sheriff’s office said in an advisory.
