Hamilton Tiger-Cats sign four Canadians, agree to extension with European lineman

HAMILTON - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have re-signed four Canadians.
The CFL club announced Tuesday it has come to terms with defensive back Mike Daly, defensive back Courtney Stephen, running back Jackson Bennett and linebacker Curtis Newton, as well as global defensive end Valentin Gnahoua.
Daly, a product of Hamilton s McMaster University, has played in 87 career games for the Ticats, registering 93 defensive tackles, 49 special-teams tackles, eight interceptions, one sack, two forced fumbles and 12 pass knockdowns. Following up on my year-end review of 2020 story, here are some of the biggest cybersecurity-related news stories of 2020 I couldn’t squeeze into that piece. Most are Canadian, but some are of enough significance that they are included here. The list might have been longer but a number of companies whose names were posted by ransomware groups refused to confirm if they were hit and their data copied:
Canadian-based PlanetDrugsDirect.com, which sold prescription drugs online, announces a security incident, hasn’t been online since;
Security researcher Jason Coulls discovers two open accounts with application source code, internal user names and passwords, and private keys belonging to Rogers Communications. No customer data was found. Later in the year Rogers notified customers that one of the companies it deals with left a database open with Rogers subscribers’ addresses, phone numbers and email addresses;

Martin-Hill, who also teaches at McMaster, lives on Six Nations of the Grand River Reserve, about 30 km southwest of Hamilton. It’s where her mother, who was a part of the ’60s Scoop, grew up before fleeing to the U.S. to raise her children. And it’s where Martin-Hill, now a grandmother, raised her own children.
