Free NH community college course for graduating high schoolers

New Hampshire students graduating high school this year will now be able to take a free class at any community college in the state.The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges are providing more than $1 million to cover the costs.The student’s class choice is up to them. This has been a tremendously challenging time for graduating high school seniors. Free Classes for New Hampshire High School Graduates By   Two foundations are offering this year s New Hampshire high school graduates a free class at any one of the state s seven community colleges this coming fall. The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Foundation for New Hampshire Community Colleges together committed more than $1 million toward tuition and fees. The gift will cover any three-credit course in person, online or hybrid and all high school seniors who graduated this year are eligible. To participate, students need to reach out to the admissions office of a local community college, and an academic counselor will help them to enroll.

CONCORD, NH Two New Hampshire foundations are joining together to pool more than $1 million to assist Class of 2021 high school graduates to start their college careers at the Community College System of New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Foundation for NH Community Colleges made the announcement on Wednesday, calling it an early graduation gift of a free class at any of New Hampshire’s seven community colleges in the fall. The foundations will also offer additional support, advisory, and other services, to assist students with an easy entry point into higher education and into rewarding careers.
