HOUSTON A restaurant in Katy is facing a suit alleging they failed to properly light and mark a step in the bar area which allegedly caused a woman to fall and suffer injuries.
Claudia Bernal filed a complaint Feb. 11 in Harris County District Court against Perry s Restaurant alleging premises liability and negligence.
According to her complaint, Bernal was dining at Perry s Restaurant on Cinco Ranch Boulevard in Katy on Aug. 8, 2019. She alleges that when she got up to go the restroom, she took a step and fell to the ground. Bernal claims that only after she fell to the ground, she saw a step under the table that she did not see before due to poor lighting in the bar area. She also claims the step was unmarked and in an unexpected location. Bernal alleges she suffered serious injuries, along with mental anguish and has incurred medical expenses. HOUSTON – KPRC 2 Investigates combed through court records and found some suspects are getting out of jail on bond over and over again in Harris County and then go on to be accused in a homicide.
After reviewing homicide cases for the last two years where murder charges were filed, there were 27 cases where a defendant was out of jail on two or more bonds at the time they were accused of killing someone.

Houston A man who suffered injuries after falling out of a top bunk bed while working on Chevron and Noble Energy s offshore platform in Africa is claiming negligence.
Richard Reggio filed a complaint Jan. 30 in Harris County District Court against Noble Energy Inc., Noble Energy Services Inc., and Chevron U.S.A., Inc., alleging negligence and premises liability.
Reggio alleges in his complaint that while working for Novetus Engineering on the defendants offshore platform off the coast of Equatorial Guinea in Africa, he fell out of the top bunk bed he was assigned while sleeping and suffered severe injuries to his head, neck, shoulder, back and other parts of his body.
