A Houston area health department doctor is accused by prosecutors of stealing nine doses of coronavirus vaccine from a damaged vial and administering them to family and friends. But Hasan Gokal insists he did nothing wrong and was only trying to ensure the vaccine was not wasted, his attorney said Thursday.

Authorities allege that Gokal, who worked for Harris County Public Health, stole a vial of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine while working at a vaccination site at a suburban Houston park on Dec. 29.

HOUSTON - 21-year old Luis Rey Ybarbo was on probation for aggravated robbery when he was charged with carrying a gun in a motor vehicle.
Last July, his bond was revoked and he was back behind bars.
But on October 17, 338th Criminal District Court Judge Ramona Franklin reinstated Ybarbo s bonds. That s where things really start to spiral and now you have a major crime spree involving this defendant, Kahn said.

A Former Houston Police Captain was arrested Tuesday after allegedly running a man off the road and restraining him with a pistol in an attempt to prove a nonexistent massive voter fraud scheme in Harris County in exchange for more than $250,000, prosecutors said.
According to an affidavit describing the incident, Former Houston Police Capt. Mark Anthony Aguirre told police that he was a member of a group of private citizens called Liberty Center for God & Country, and that he and his friends had been conducting 24-hour surveillance on the victim s home.
The group’s GoFundMe page, which had raised nearly $70,000 as of Tuesday night, said its members work with investigators to uncover alleged fraud in the election.
