Woman charged after car rolls on top of innocent driver following crash in NW Houston, police say

Officers said the crash happened near West Gulf Bank near Antoine around 8:20 p.m.
According to investigators, a woman, who has been identified as 28-year-old Lohortenes Sanders, was speeding through the red light after she hit a parked car. That’s when the victim’s car was struck, police said.
Police said the 52-year-old woman was thrown out of the vehicle and at some point, became pinned under it.
Police said a witness told them Sanders had an argument with someone in a nearby apartment complex. When the passenger exited Sanders’ blue-colored Mercury Grand Marquis, police said Sanders drove erratically through the complex and then drove eastbound on West Gulf Bank Road. HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) A woman is dead after investigators say she was struck by a woman who ran a red light in northwest Houston.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Antoine and West Gulf Bank Road. Police say the driver was upset moments before the crash.
According to Sean Teare with the Harris County District Attorney s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, the at-fault driver, 28-year-old Lohortenes Sanders, had just left a nearby apartment complex after getting into some sort of fight.
Investigators say Sanders hit a parked car while trying to leave and fled the scene, traveling eastbound on West Gulf Bank Road towards the intersection.
Court documents state the woman who died in the shooting was the suspect s mother.
Not all of the violence so far this weekend took place near nightclubs. The night began with a separate shooting in northwest Houston where a man was shot around 10:30 p.m. Friday. That incident happened on Antoine near West Little York. As officers arrived, they found a man covered in blood who was attempting to damage vehicles in the area. The man ran into an apartment where he poured hot sauce on himself in a possible attempt to cover up the blood, according to Houston police. He was taken into custody. The victim, who was shot in the torso several times, was expected to survive.

Nathan Gerk, who is the owner of Club Set on Travis Street, is being charged with falsifying statements on an alcohol license.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission said Club Set applied for a restaurant permit in September that would require the business to make 51% of its profits from food sales.
Nearly 650 establishments in Harris County, and more than 3,000 statewide, have applied for the license to be able to remain open while bars and clubs are ordered to stay closed.
