HOUSTON – The family of Rhogena Nicholas was slated to receive key information from the city of Houston following a judge’s ruling in their civil case.
However, last Thursday the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed a motion asking for the key information to not be released.
“From what we’ve said from the get-go, it’s one big cover-up. It’s always blocking us,” said John Nicholas in an interview with KPRC 2 Investigates.

HOUSTON A man is charged with manslaughter after a passenger was killed in a rollover crash Monday night in northeast Houston.
Houston police responded to the crash scene at 9:20 p.m. in the 4100 block of Wayne Street near Crane Street.
Investigators said a red Doge Ram pickup truck was speeding in the northbound lanes when the driver ran a stop sign at the intersection.
According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle before it rolled over, left the roadway and then struck a utility pole.
Driver faces manslaughter charge after deadly northeast Houston crash

HOUSTON - Authorities say a driver is being charged with manslaughter after a deadly crash in northeast Houston.
The crash occurred in the 4700 block of Wayne Street around 9:20 p.m. Monday.
According to Houston police, a red pickup truck was traveling northbound at a high rate of speed when the driver is believed to have hit a dip in the road and lost control of the truck.
Police say the truck struck a light pole and rolled several times before coming to a rest in front of a house.

The council is charged with conducting an in-depth analysis of the impact of crime on victims, close relatives of deceased victims, guardians of victims and society.
James White, of Hillister, is a Texas State Representative of District 19 and Chair of the Texas House Committee on Homeland Security & Public Safety. Previously, he served as a high school teacher in Woodville. He is currently an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, and the Texas Farm Bureau. White received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Prairie View A&M University and Doctor
Family of Joshua Johnson meet with DA’s office after jury declines to indict deputy

The family of Joshua Johnson and Congressman Al Green met Thursday with representatives from the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
However, following the meeting, the group remained unsatisfied with the lack of information and unanswered questions by the DA.
“I do not agree because they told us that the case went before the grand jury without any recommendation,” Green said during the press conference. “There is no law that says that a district attorney cannot make a recommendation to a grand jury.”
