HACC to continue online classes through summer 2021 Updated Dec 17, 2020; Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) students will continue mostly virtual learning through next summer, administrators announced Thursday. Mostly remote classes will be taught through the summer of 2021, according to a news release. Hands-on and “experimental” learning will be the exception to the decision. Students and staff were told about the plans on Wednesday. HACC students have been learning remotely since mid-March, when the coronavirus pandemic began. “Our students and employees continue to be our top priority, as we do our part to prioritize their safety,” said John J. “Ski” Sygielski, HACC’s president and CEO. “No one could have ever anticipated that we would still be affected by this global pandemic.
