What is wrong with this picture?

It has been with considerable dismay these last few weeks that I’ve read about attempts in many states to be actively attempting to make voting more difficult and more of a cumbersome process. State legislatures are introducing and passing legislation that, among other things, would drastically reduce the number of polling places, ballot drop off boxes, days and hours of pre-election voting, making it more difficult for people to request mail in ballots by requiring notarized signatures on ballots (and, or) requiring special approval prior to being allowed to receive a mail in ballot, etc. Notoriously Georgia has even made it a criminal offense to offer water to people queuing in hours long lines waiting to cast their vote.

Ethics Panel Will Take No Action Against Democrat Joyce Beatty s Arrest

26 Jul 2021 The House Ethics Committee announced Monday they would not take any action to investigate Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH) after her arrest for protesting at the Capitol earlier in the month. The committee in their report said that Beatty, who is the Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, will not have any further action taken against her. The report acknowledged Beatty was arrested “for Crowding, Obstructing, or Incommoding, during a protest inside a Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C.” The congresswoman paid a $50 fine prior to her release, and the “legal proceedings related to her arrest are expected to be resolved with no further action.”

Veteran CIA Analyst Censored, Manhandled – American Free Press

Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern was physically thrown out of a Senate confirmation hearing for CIA director Gina Haspel for politely demanding answers on U.S. torture and Ms. Haspel’s role. The police state is alive and well when a 78-year-old man whose spent his life in public service is slammed to the ground, handcuffed, and physically assaulted for asking questions. By Dave Gahary If someone served their country by enlisting in the United States Army as an infantry and intelligence officer, and then followed that up by further serving that same country for nearly three more decades as a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) analyst, one might think that such an individual would be accorded a modicum of respect when voicing his opinion at a Senate confirmation hearing for the nomination of the CIA director.
