A Connecticut woman accused of murdering her husband and hiding his body for several months while cashing in his paychecks is facing a new larceny charge, investigators announced.
Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, age 73, the wife of longtime UConn professor Pierluigi Bigazzi, has been charged with larceny as prosecutors continue their investigation into his murder.
It is alleged that Kosuda-Bigazzi murdered her husband before hiding the body underneath their family home for several months, while continuing to collect his paychecks from UConn Health in Farmington.
UConn Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Geoghegan said the university was under the impression that Bigazzi was still an active and fully-tenured professor, making an annual salary of nearly $200,000.
