Harford County Superintendent: Individual schools could close if there is an outbreak

Credit: miljko / Getty Images Students in Harford County schools return from spring break this Wednesday and those in sixth through 12th grade in the county will start going to in-person classes four days a week. That comes as Harford County continues to have the highest number of coronavirus cases in Maryland.  School Superintendent Sean Bulson says he is watching the coronavirus metrics closely and has no plans to shut down the whole school system, but Dr. Bulson says if there is an outbreak or a staff shortage, individual schools will be closed. Harford County Health Officer Dr. David Bishai joined the superintendent for a video message last week before students headed off to spring break. Dr. Bishai says about 70% of the school system staff have now been vaccinated.
