Marc Joseph to assume role of Deputy Building Commissioner; Paul Williams to assume role of Assistant Housing Commissioner
BOSTON – Wednesday, April 21, 2021 – Mayor Kim Janey today announced the appointment of Sean Lydon as the Interim Commissioner of the Inspectional Services Department (ISD). Marc Joseph will assume the role of Deputy Building Commissioner, and Paul Williams will assume the role of Assistant Housing Commissioner. ISD administers and enforces building, housing, health, sanitation and safety regulations mandated by city and state governments. Inspectional Services is made up of five regulatory divisions charged with serving the public by protecting the health, safety and environmental stability of Boston s business and residential communities.

Google s email service - Gmail - is “more secure” than parliament s email system, the chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee has claimed.
Tom Tugendhat told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme he has repeatedly been the focus of cyber attacks over the past three years.
Hackers have tried to access his account and sent emails impersonating him, he told the BBC.
The Tory MP believes China and Iran were behind some of these attempts.
“I was told by friends at GCHQ that I was better off sticking to Gmail, rather than using the parliamentary system, because it was more secure,” said Mr Tugendhat.

Tishaura Jones has made history as the first Black woman elected mayor in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. Jones reportedly received more than 51 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s election. She is slated to be sworn in on April 20.
“St. Louis, this is an opportunity for us to rise,” Jones told voters in a victory speech that detailed her ancestral heritage and quoted poet Maya Angelou. “I told you when I was running that we aren’t done avoiding tough conversations. We are done ignoring the racism that has held our city and our region back.”
Jones, 49, is described as a champion for working families who has spent her career serving the people of Missouri.
