Harwinton Consolidated School’s student council had a successful Hearts for Healthcare Heroes community service project. During a weeklong fundraising drive, they collected $900 in donations from students and staff. Due to the generosity of HCS and the additional donations from Litchfield and Harwinton Dunkin’ Donuts locations, 300 DD gift cards were delivered to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington.
Student council members along with their advisors, Alexa Mattiello and Morgan Thulin, presented CHH staff members with the donations and heart shaped thank you notes. Miss Mattiello stated, “The kids got to see first hand just how much of an impact their work has on others.”
