The Chocolate Fantasia and Art-ism Gallery Stroll will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, 1206 W. Avenue B. Visitors can view artwork made by Copperas Cove ISD’s special-education students while enjoying chocolate treats and beverages. Admission is $10 per person and tickets can be purchased by going tohttps://bit.ly/3d3qIow. Proceeds from the event will go toward obtaining sensory classroom equipment.
Many local residents gathered in Harker Heights to visit a gun show going on this weekend.
The Real Texas Gun Show was held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and will be open again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Harker Heights Event Center, 710 Edwards Drive.
There are around 75 different vendors at the gun show and around 100 people appeared to be inside around noon on Saturday.
There were countless rifles for recreation, sporting and hunting available as well as handguns of all calibers, shotguns and many other firearms. Many vendors were also selling ammunition as well as knives and other miscellaneous items.

Small business owners and residents from the Central Texas area have the opportunity to meet and take part in the first mixer of 2021 on Friday evening in Harker Heights.
âThis event is to bring the community together and come up with ideals on how to help our small businesses,â said Phyllis Jones, an organizer for the event.
The mixer will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Harker Heights Event Center, 710 Edwards Drive, Harker Heights.
âNo one can help our small businesses but us,â Jones said via email.
The event is being hosted by Kiss Community Connections from KISS 103.1 FM.
