New Brunswick s child and youth advocate is promising a thorough review of mental health crisis care in the province and to issue a public report by July.
New Brunswick Public Health is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. Seven previously reported cases are now considered recovered, as the number of active cases in the province drops to 33.
HALIFAX The Cape Breton SPCA is happy to announce they have found a new home for one of their oldest residents. Cesar the dog is 17 years old, making him quite low-maintenance to care for. He loves liver treats, naps, and pretty much just chills under our desks all day, said Ryan Toomey, the community engagement coordinator for the Cape Breton SPCA. While Cesar doesn t ask for much, he has been in need of a new home where he can have someone s undivided attention in whatever time he has left. Cesar could have a couple of days, a couple of weeks, a couple of months. He could even have a couple of years, we really don t know, said Toomey.
SYDNEY, N.S. It s been a while since we ve seen people lined up for a concert. Musicians have had to entertain audiences virtually for a year now. I really hope that there s some live performance aspect to this year s ECMAs, said Cape Breton musician Jordan Musycsyn. Organizers of this years East Coast Music Awards (ECMAs) are hoping so too. Nominees have been announced and plans are underway for this year s show in Sydney, N.S. Musycsyn has been nominated for the first time and he s hoping to showcase his talent. I think it s probably the safest place to have the ECMAs, Musycsyn said. However with people travelling from the different Maritime provinces, that is going to be the issue, I think.
