Elsewhere in the county, East Cheshire (2), Mid Cheshire (7) and Warrington & Halton (2) hospital trusts all reported additional deaths over the weekend. The Cheshire hospital death toll now stands at 1,100. Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has registered 301, East Cheshire NHS Trust 195, and Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust 284.
Warrington Hospital A FURTHER eight coronavirus patients have died at Warrington Hospital over the weekend as the death toll passes 290. As of this afternoon, Monday, the number of people who have died since the start of the pandemic at the Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is 292. Despite the sad news, the number of patients who have been discharged after recovering from the virus has reached 1,017, including 20 since Friday. The trust is still caring for 123 patients - nine are in the intensive care unit. To date, the trust has carried out 46,376 coronavirus tests, with 3,233 returning positive.

Warrington Hospital sees Covid-19 patient numbers fall with 12 discharged in past 24 hours THE number of people being cared for at Warrington Hospital for coronavirus has fallen in the past 24 hours. This comes as the total number of patients discharged by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust after recovering from the virus approaches a positive milestone. Since the start of the pandemic, 997 patients have been sent home after beating the virus, including 12 in the past 24 hours. As of this afternoon, Friday, the Lovely Lane site is caring for 130 Covid-19 patients, which is six fewer than yesterday. Of this 130, 11 are in the hospital’s intensive care unit, which is also one fewer than yesterday.

TWO further patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital after contracting coronavirus. The deaths were confirmed this afternoon, Thursday, by Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in its daily Covid-19 briefing. The trust’s virus death toll throughout the pandemic now stands at 283. At present, the hospital is caring for 136 inpatients that have tested positive for coronavirus, with 10 in intensive care. To date, the trust has tested 45,397 people for Covid-19, with 3,183 tests returning a positive result. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 985 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovering from the virus.
