Submitted Girl Scout Troop 2223 — made up of 13 third-graders — donated 100 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to Hillcrest Claremore Hospital. “We collected 100 boxes of cookies during booth sales to say thank you and let them know how much they are appreciated,” Troop Leader Susan Kotoff said. Kotoff said they donate boxes every year and this year they voted on donating them to the hospital. “It s important for girls to learn empathy and gratitude of others,” Kotoff said. The donations don’t stop there. “Due to COVID last year, the council decided to donate all their extra cookies to essential workers,” Kotoff said. “This year, council decided to ask customers to donate cookies to Cookies for a Cause which will be divided between healthcare worker
