PLANT CITY, Fla. - A vehicle containing 30 vials of the COVID-19vaccine was stolen from the Strawberry Festival grounds in Plant City on Wednesday, police said. A reward of up to $5,000 is now being offered by Crime Stoppers to find the suspect.
Plant City police said the keys were in the ignition when the 2018 gray Hyundai Accent was stolen from the Red Parking Lot at the fairgrounds, which is a Plant City distribution location for the COVID-19 vaccine. Hillsborough County officials said the vehicle was on the street outside the secure vaccination site when it was stolen.

A Florida police department is investigating after a vehicle believed to contain vials of COVID vaccine was stolen from a local vaccination site.
The Plant City Police Department has confirmed its officers are now hunting for a 2018 gray Hyundai Accent that was taken from a parking lot at 2805 West Reynolds Street in Plant City on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the vehicle contained COVID-19 vaccine doses set to be distributed at the East Strawberry Festival Fairgrounds. It had a Florida license plate of NPJ J58, law enforcement said.

USF Health will give coronavirus vaccine to faculty, staff 65 and over
The doses will be administered through a partnership with the health department.

The University of South Florida soon will begin administering coronavirus vaccine to eligible faculty, staff and students, as well as to patients of USF Health, school officials announced Thursday.
People receiving the vaccinations must be 65 or older, but USF is taking steps to broaden the effort to other groups later. The school has taken a survey to gauge interest in the vaccine among university faculty and members of their immediate households when additional doses become available.
