TAMPA, Fla. â Hillsborough County School Leaders are taking the first step in exploring the option to sell the Raymond O. Shelton School Building, known to many administrative workers as ROSSAC. This is the latest idea to cut costs as the district faces mounting budget concerns.
This is an initial step to explore the process to see if it is a feasible option for HCPS, according to the district.

TAMPA â The Hillsborough County School District wants to offer its iconic downtown Tampa headquarters for sale, a cost-saving move that not everyone thinks is a good idea.
An item on Tuesdayâs School Board meeting agenda calls for the district to declare the 1.54 acre site at 901 E Kennedy Blvd. âsurplusâ and âdeemed unnecessary for educational purposes,â then put it on the market.
