The Municipality of Sioux Lookout has announced their closures and restrictions as the Province moves our region to the Red-Control Zone on Monday.
Restrictions and closures are in place for at least two weeks, in line with the province’s COVID-19 response framework.
Starting Monday, March 15, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Memorial Arena will be closed for the season and the ice will be taken out.
Outdoor rinks will also be closed for the season and the Gym will be closed to all users and user groups.
However, the Fitness Centre will remain open, with the following restrictions

With the uptick in positive COVID-19 cases across the region, the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre is updating its visitor restrictions.
New restrictions go into effect 9 p.m. this evening, Friday March 12.

Three people have been arrested following a drug bust in Kenora.
Provincial Police and Treaty 3 Police searched a River Drive home March 5 as part of an on-going investigation in the sale of illegal drugs in the northwest region.
As a result, officers seized drugs, cash and drug paraphernalia.
OPP say 34 year old Matthew Morgan and 54 year old Jamie Plamondon each face a number of charges including trafficking meth, cocaine and opioids.
Police say 52 year old Carey Sas faces similar charges but has also been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under 5 thousand dollars.
