PETALING JAYA: It is never a good idea to drive through floodwaters as it not only could damage light vehicles but can also be potentially life-threatening, says the Civil Defence Force.
Terengganu Civil Defence Force (APM) director Lt-Kol (PA) Che Adam Abdul Rahman said there were daredevils in the state who took the risk, perhaps for fun, but warned others to not attempt the stunt.
“I can’t be certain what drives them to attempt crossing floodwaters in their cars or motorcycles.
“It is very dangerous, especially when there are strong currents, ” he said.
He warned drivers could risk stalling and being caught in the middle of floodwaters as they attempt to drive through.
