Public hearing scheduled on Huron County master plan

BAD AXE The Huron County Planning Commission has scheduled a public hearing to discuss the latest draft of the long in-development master plan at its upcoming February meeting.
The meeting will take place Feb 3, at 7 p.m., at the Huron County Expo Center in Bad Axe, with the purpose of the public hearing to gain public comments about the master plan.
The public hearing was originally supposed to take place at the planners December meeting, though it was postponed due to coronavirus restrictions.

BAD AXE The rescheduled Huron County Board of Commissioners meeting from earlier this month has been postponed again.
Jodi Essenmacher, the executive assistant for the commissioners, said the meeting would likely be held Tuesday morning in a similar matter to earlier this year where the commissioners meet in the district courtroom of the county building and all the attendees would attend via the Zoom conferencing application.
Essenmacher said she would have to get her Zoom account reactivated on Monday in order to make that happen, as she would have to send out the proper meeting invitations.
