Of the new COVID-19 cases recorded in Huron and Perth counties over the past seven days, about half have screened positive for the highly transmissible variants of concern, public health officials say.
Miriam Klassen, the region’s medical officer of health, reported the new rolling seven-day average Thursday. Although the number in Huron-Perth is lower than the provincial average of 70.6 per cent, “it’s been growing,” she said.
