LOS ANGELES (Variety.com) – Megan Thee Stallion has partnered with NACC Disaster Services and U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee to help rebuild her hometown of Houston, which has been devastated by Texas’ historic freeze, rolling blackouts and water shortages.

The rapper will enlist the help of Fashion Nova, 300 Entertainment, Mielle Organics, Maroon 5, Revlon, The Coach Foundation, Dolce and Gabbana and Taraji P. Megan Thee Stallion has partnered with NACC Disaster Services and U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee to help rebuild her hometown of Houston, which has been devastated by Texas’ historic freeze, rolling blackouts and water shortages.
The rapper will enlist the help of Fashion Nova, 300 Entertainment, Mielle Organics, Maroon 5, Revlon, The Coach Foundation, Dolce and Gabbana and Taraji P. Henson, as well as additional donors, who have pledged to help her in her efforts. The initiative will launch immediately and continue throughout the next two years.
NACC will work with Congresswoman Lee for referrals on homes needing rebuilding from online submissions through the Helping Houston Rebuild official website. Houston residents will receive aid based on critical need and a lottery. Public adjusters will assess damages and licensed professionals will evaluate plumbing, electricity and structural repairs with walls, floors, and other damages, while volunteers will remove water-logged materials. Throughout my Congressional District and Houston, I saw the pain of people having destroyed homes. Aramco Americas, the U.S. Subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, has revealed that it has made three donations worth a total of $1 million to help Houston and Port Arthur with critical public health needs following Winter Storm Uri.
As part of the donation, the Houston Health Foundation received $500,000 for seniors and at-risk populations, and the Houston Harris County Winter Storm Relief Fund received $400,000 for winter weather relief to help Houstonians with plumbing and home repairs, temporary housing, and other basic needs relief. The Southeast Texas Emergency Relief Fund also received $100,000 to help residents in the city of Port Arthur, where Aramco’s wholly owned subsidiary Motiva operates North America’s largest refinery and chemical complex.

“We are partnering with the Harris County Area Agency on Aging and the Houston Health Department who are in contact with over 60,000 seniors in our community to help identify vulnerable residents who have endured freezing temperatures and damage to their homes.
