UPDATE: The man convicted of murdering his 81 year old grandmother will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Houston County Superior Court Judge, Bo Adams, sentenced 33-year-old Jared Carter to life in prison plus five years for the use of a knife Wednesday.
Judge Adams called the crime “cruel and evil.”
“At the end of it all, you ended her life,” said Adams. “You’re convicted of ending her life which is unconscionable in and of itself, but then the means you took to end her life was really egregious.”
Man arrested for weekend homicide in Warner Robins

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins man is behind bars for a weekend shooting that claimed the life of an Irwington teenager.
According to a news release from the Warner Robins Police Department, 20-year-old Gregory Davis was arrested at home in Eatonton for the death of 19-year-old Deandre Pitts.
Officers say they found Pitts with gunshots wounds at 1305 Hartley Avenue in Warner Robins around 8:00 p.m. Friday. Pitts was transported to Atrium Health Navicent The Medical Center, in Macon where he later died.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. The Houston County Sheriff s Office is investigating after a woman was found dead in an RV Sunday morning.
According to a release from the sheriff s office, the call came in around 9:30 a.m. to the 2300-block of Elko Road.
A 911 call sent deputies to the property. When they arrived they found the body of 60-year-old Debra Seidenfaden.
After investigating, it was found that Seidenfaden s husband told a neighbor that he had been in an argument with his wife and that he had killed her, according to the release.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Jarkevion Raines in the shooting of a 17-year-old teen

PERRY, Ga. Perry police are investigating after a teen was shot at 1353 Sam Nunn Parkway Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release from the Perry Police Department, officers got the call around 3:30 p.m. about a person shot. Once they made it to the scene, they found a 17-year-old teenager who had been shot in the groin area. The release says the shooter ran off into a neighborhood located on W.F. Ragin Drive. Officers found and arrested 18-year-old Jarkevion Raines. Raines was taken to the Houston County Detention Center where he is charged with Aggravated Assault.
18-year-old Perry man arrested, charged with shooting 17-year-old

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Perry Police say an 18-year-old man is in custody after shooting at 17-year-old Thursday afternoon.
A Perry Police news release sent Thursday night said the shooting happened at about 3:30 at 1353 Sam Nunn Boulevard.
Officers identified a 17-year-old at the scene who had been shot once in the groin area. The shooter had fled into a neighborhood on W.F. Ragin Drive.
Officers say they were able to locate the shooter, 18-year-old Jarkevion Raines of Perry and take him into custody. The gun police say was used was also retrieved.
