On Wednesday, Feb. 3, deputies on the Sheriff’s Office s Crime Suppression Unit were conducting a saturated patrol of a known high-crime area in the Clear Creek community when they observed a vehicle with a fictitious registration plate. Upon conducting a vehicle stop, officers observed drug paraphernalia and narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed numerous individual bags of methamphetamine, digital scales and $5,822 in cash.
Jeffrey Scott Clark and Magdalena Bionca Serna, both of Hendersonville, were arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance. Clark and Serna were jailed in the Henderson County Detention Facility under a $1,517,000 bond.
The U.S. Marshals Service Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force requested the assistance of the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in serving a fugitive warrant at 113 Terry’s Gap Road.
Upon arrival of the Henderson County Officers and agents with the Carolina’s Regional Fugitive Task Force the wanted subject, Steven Dewayne Tucker, refused to come out of the residence. After a brief conversation with officers he begin to barricade himself inside the home.
Officers learned through interviews conducted with family members of Tucker that a handicapped relative was inside the home. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Negotiation Team was called to the scene and began negotiations with Tucker. After several hours of negotiations, officers were able to successfully extract the handicapped relative from the residence unharmed.
