Health Department moves to phone, email notification system for COVID vaccine waitlist From staff reports The Henderson County Department of Public Health is utilizing a phone and email notification system for remaining individuals on its COVID-19 vaccine waitlist, which gives individuals the option to schedule an appointment or be removed from the waitlist. The Health Department is using the One Call Now system to notify individuals via phone, email and text who are next in line for appointments. The department is finding that many individuals left on the waitlist have been able to find an appointment from another provider. This system allows individuals to remove themselves from the waitlist if they no longer need an appointment.

Local providers have been scheduling appointments for frontline essential workers in Group 3 while continuing to prioritize previous eligible groups. As more seniors have been able to receive vaccination appointments, providers are comfortable signaling the official shift to Groups 3 and 4, says the news release from the health department.  Gov.     HENDERSON COUNTY, North Carolina (WLOS) The Henderson County COVID-19 Call Center announced it has changed the way it will contact individuals on the COVID-19 Vaccine Waitlist. On Monday, the Henderson County Department of Public Health announced the Call Center has been made aware that the number used to contact individuals for vaccine appointments, 828-585-4700, has been flagged as spam. Officials do not know the cause of the problem at this point, but in order to work around the issue, the center will be making calls from different lines. Officials say calls will come from a phone number beginning with 828-347-XXXX and that the last four digits will vary. There is a chance these numbers could also appear on the phone as spam. The Call Center encourages everyone on the waitlist still expecting a call to answer their phone when a number containing 347 as the middle digits appears.
