Gardaí appealing for witnesses to Limerick robbery

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team via Getty Images Gardaí in Henry Street are appealing for information following an attempted robbery that took place at a retail premises at Annacotty in County Limerick, Friday 15th January 2021.    The incident occurred shortly after 1.50pm when a car pulled up beside a cash-in-transit van. A masked man exited the passenger’s seat of this car and came towards the van. This man proceeded to assault the cash-in-transit employee with an implement. The driver of the car, who was also a masked male, is alleged to have made threats to the employee during the assault.

Drug driver detected in Limerick after rollout of national campaign

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team Limerick gardaí detected a motorist driving under the influence of drugs within hours of a rollout of a national campaign this month.  The Annual Christmas and New Year Road Safety Appeal was launched at Store Street Garda Station in Dublin on December 4th.  By ten past ten that morning, Limerick gardaí had detected someone driving under the influence of drugs.  Inspector Alan Cullen of Henry Street Garda Station says it s a national problem.

All-Ireland hurling champions Limerick were tucked up in bed at home  hours after their historic winter victory at an eerily silent Croke Park as homecoming celebrations were  limited  due to social distancing. Following their emphatic victory over Waterford, the 2020 champions dined at a Dublin hotel,  having been forced to leave the Liam MacCarthy Cup behind at Croker, in line with public health advice, so to avoid large crowds on Shannonside gathering with the prized GAA chalice. The Limerick squad enjoyed a party on board a train from Heuston Station, Dublin, to Limerick, and upon arrival at Limerick’s Colbert Rail Station they made their way home via buses organised by the Limerick County Board.
