This new storage container, pictured being placed on site in October, was broken into on November 24. Credit: Borehamwood 2000 FC/Twitter The chairman of a youth football club has reacted after burglars stole brand new equipment. Boreham Wood 2000 FC, who play at Pursley Playing Fields in Shenley, were targeted for a second time in three years towards the end of November. A much-needed storage container, which had only just been purchased and fitted at the club in October was broken into, and a lawnmower and ride-on tractor mower was stolen. Dave Makamian, chairman of Boreham Wood 2000 FC, said the tractor was the first piece of substantial maintenance equipment the club had owned in its history - and it was used just once before it was stolen.
