100 wraps of crack cocaine seized in playing fields Police seized more than 100 wraps of suspected crack cocaine this week. Two police community support offices on patrol in Cottonmill Lane playing fields, St Albans, on Tuesday (May 11) when they saw two men acting suspiciously. Police say more than 100 wraps, suspected to be the Class A drug crack cocaine, was seized. Police believe the drugs have an estimated street value of around £2,000. Two 21-year-old men from Luton were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. They have been released under investigation pending further enquiries. Members of the public are urged by police to report information if they see suspicious behaviour or suspect drugs are involved.

Boater and nurse tried to save man found in Watford canal

Cassiobury Park, Watford A boater and an off-duty nurse fought to save the life of a man who was found unconscious in a Watford canal lock. A man in his 80s was sadly pronounced dead after the emergency services were called to a canal in Cassiobury Park on Wednesday afternoon. His death is not being treated as suspicious. Calvin Morris, who owns a canal boat, told the Observer how he came across the unnamed man in the lock following a trip to Watford. He said: I d been into the town centre and was cycling back and was on a bridge and I saw what I thought was a body floating.

Man with possible head injury missing from Watford

James Flannery, 25, was last seen at around 9.10am today (Wednesday). He is described as white, around 5ft 11in tall, with ginger/blond hair. He was last seen wearing blue trousers but did not have a top on. Whilst no picture has been released of James, Hertfordshire Constabulary says it is believed he may have a head injury which is likely to be obvious to anyone who comes across him. The force is keen to trace James to ensure he is ok amid concerns for his welfare and are appealing for the public’s help in finding him. Anyone who has seen James since he was reported missing or has information about where he has been should call 101.
