Criminals jailed in April include two brothers who shot a father in the face and a driver who stole a car before crashing it. The list below includes some of the offenders in our area that were put behind bars by judges during April. The offenders names and a summary of what led to them appearing in the dock are as follows:

Owais Shafiq, left, and Usman Malik have been jailed. Credit: Hertfordshire Constabulary Two men have been jailed after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs. Owais Shafiq, 32, of Douglas Avenue, Watford, and Usman Malik, 26, of The Roundway, Watford, appeared for sentencing at Huntingdon Crown Court on Tuesday (April 27).
A Range Rover was stolen last night Quick-thinking police officers managed to track down a £125,000 Range Rover within an hour of it being stolen. The car was taken from an address in Oakhurst Avenue in Harpenden just before midnight last night (April 28). Hertfordshire Constabulary says the number plates had been replaced with clones. The car was believed to have been driven in convoy with a Ford Fiesta to St Albans, on to Maple Cross and into Thames Valley. The Range Rover was stopped in Denham Way in Maple Cross at 12.50am. Officers from Thames Valley Police stopped a Ford Fiesta in Chesham.
