Roella Oloro is raising money to return to a prestigious American music school.

A jazz musician is looking for help in raising £23,000 to return to a prestigious music school in America.
Hackney resident Roella Oloro, 23, has a scholarship to Berklee College of Music, Boston, but the private establishment requires her to show she can afford to live there.
Having already raised £27,000 in 2019, the saxophone, piano and bass player moved to London from Gloucester in order to pursue her passion.
The decision to study stateside was born from her desire to explore the ‘original source’ of jazz.

The Hackney Road in east London is full of interesting destinations, from stylish restaurants to florists and everything in between. The latest addition to the street, furniture dealer Mario Kardana, is just one more reason to visit, having opened M.Kardana, his first store premises, at No.188A.
Kardana is representative of a new aesthetic in the furniture and art being offered on the vintage and second-hand market. While ‘mid-century modern’ style furniture has been enjoying a major revival over the last decade or two, Kardana isn t capitalizing on this trend, but is instead offering up a curated selection of furniture and art pieces spanning a wider period - from late 19th century to late 20th century, applying his experienced eye and infectious enthusiasm for collecting to the curation of his shop.

During July 1921 Count George Noble Plunkett, Dáil minister for foreign affairs, wrote a long letter to Ãamon de Valera. In it Plunkett warned the Sinn Féin leader that republicans should be wary of too close a relationship with âthe Jewsâ.
