Legendary Australian fashion designed Carla Zampatti died in hospital a week after a bad fall in Handa Opera on the Sydney Harbour.
The 78-year-old had been attending the opening night of La Traviata when she tripped on a set of stairs and hit her head last Friday.
Her family has released a statement saying they are grateful for the support and care from the team at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney.
Tributes are flowing in on social with Prime Minister Scott Morrison sharing his condolences for Ms Zampatti and her family in a statement.
