December 18, 2020 DULUTH, Minn. – With Governor Walz lifting some restrictions across the state beginning Saturday, some outdoor entertainment venues are reopening, including the Lake Superior Zoo. During the past four weeks, there was little guest activity at the Lake Superior Zoo, as it was closed because of the governor’s orders but now with new restrictions, the zoo is able to open yet again. There have been no visitors, but caring for the animals behind the scenes still incurred the same amount of costs, which resulted in a challenging situation for zoo management.
